Scanning Barcodes

The CPMobile sled uses a barcode scanner that reads one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. The effective reading distance of the barcode scanner varies depending on the size of the barcode. In general, we recommend a scanning distance of 15-20 centimeters (approximately six inches).

To scan a barcode:

1. Press and hold the scan button.

2. Position the scan head as close to the barcode label as possible so that the scan line crosses both ends of the barcode.

3. Slowly pull back the unit, increasing the distance between the barcode and the scanner until the scan is successful (indicated by a beep).
