Scanning an item

You can scan an item's barcode using your CPMobile device's built-in camera, a CPMobile sled, or a Socket Mobile Barcode Scanner.

ClosedCPMobile Sled

To scan a barcode with the CPMobile sled:

  1. Press and hold the scan button.

  2. Position the scan head as close to the barcode label as possible so that the scan line crosses both ends of the barcode.

  1. Slowly pull back the unit, increasing the distance between the barcode and the scanner until the scan is successful (indicated by a beep).

ClosedSocket Mobile Barcode Scanner

To scan a barcode with a Socket Mobile barcode scanner:

  1. Aim the scan head at the barcode label.

  2. Press and hold the trigger.

  3. Slowly pull back the scanner until the scan is successful (indicated by a beep).

ClosedBuilt-in Camera

To scan a barcode with the built-in camera:

  1. Tap Scan Barcode with Camera .

  2. Position the barcode within the camera's field of view to scan the barcode.
